Founded in 1906, the Coldwell Banker brand is the most established residential real estate franchise system in North America. Founder Colbert Coldwell and partner Benjamin Banker revolutionized the industry and changed the way that people bought and sold homes. Fast forward over 100 years and the Coldwell Banker network is one of the most trusted in the world, with a global presence across 40 countries and territories worldwide.  

The Coldwell Banker brand made its way to Canada in 1989, during the company's first international expansion. In 1992, Coldwell Banker entered a joint venture with Canada Trust Realty, becoming a major force in the Canadian market and have since gained a legacy of serving the real estate needs of Canadians from coast to coast for over 30 years.

In 2021, Coldwell Banker Canada was acquired by entrepreneurs Steve Houle and Karim Kennedy. The pair apply a unique blend of knowledge and experience as they seek to grow the brand’s presence on a national level. We are ready to make our mark in the Canadian Real Estate Market and transform the industry along the way.

Our People

Karim Kennedy
Chief Executive Officer

Karim brings more than 25 years of experience in transaction and capital advisement to his role as CEO of Coldwell Banker Canada. He possesses an impressive track record leading commercial banking, subordinated debt, mezzanine and equity transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder buy-outs and growth capital opportunities.

Karim earned his Bachelor’s in Economics and MBA from the University of Alberta. He has spent his entire career working in the Canadian financial services industry, participating in transactions in most regions of the country. His career has spanned a broad range of operational, finance, structuring and deal execution experience, and has assisted numerous companies in maximizing their financial performance. He is valued for his sophisticated and high-energy approach, his focus on growth, and his passion for exceptional customer service.

Karim looks forward to investing in the talent at Coldwell Banker and ensuring its future success.

Hashim Arthur
VP, Operations

Hashim manages the overall operations, franchise support, services, products and administration of Coldwell Banker Canada.  

Hashim has spent 10 years in the Coldwell Banker Canada franchise system, which began by providing help desk support as a specialist. Hashim later took on a management role for the help desk and affiliate services. He’s provided support for the roll out numerous brand tools and provided training to the Canadian Coldwell Banker network. Most recently, Hashim held the position of Manager, Affiliate Services with Coldwell Banker Canada Operations ULC from 2015 to October 19, 2021. He earned his diplomas in both Business Management and Business Marketing from Humber College in 2005, as well as a post-grad certificate from the University of Toronto in Advertising. He has spent most of his career working in marketing, service and support, in telecommunications and real estate industries. 

In his free time, Hashim enjoys travelling, snowboarding, hiking, and meeting new people. 

Kim Carmichael
VP, Franchise Development

Kim oversees franchise development for all of our brokerages outside of Ontario. She is a quick-witted sales champion with a can-do attitude. She has an integral role in the expansion of the Coldwell Banker brand in Canada through franchise development. Kim is a master of communication with over 25 years of sales experience in land development and construction. Ultimately her ability to speak passionately and knowledgeably about the brand makes her an undeniable fit for her role.  

In her spare time, you'll find Kim being active and enjoying the outdoors. She loves food and music and is always interested in an  adventure, especially with her fur baby!

Paul Abbott
VP, Franchise Development

Paul oversees Franchise Development for our Ontario region. His role involves supporting and developing new markets for the Coldwell Banker brand in Canada. Paul brings 20+ years of senior management experience and a proven track record in sales, corporate development, and strategy. He is a results-oriented sales professional with a deep understanding of the organization's business model and corporate culture. He is devoted to the expansion of the Coldwell Banker brand and is a trusted leader.  

In his spare time, you’ll find Paul running, cycling or on the golf course struggling to break 80.  

Glenn Kubish
VP, Public Relations

Glenn Kubish is our Vice President of Public Relations. His role is to help guide the growth of the Coldwell Banker Canada story to benefit both those who currently do and those who are considering working with our company.

Glenn brings decades of experience in news media, media production, strategic communications planning and brand development. He has worked in the government, private and not-for-profit sectors, helping to focus the organization's goal of communicating the right message to the right audience at the right time for the right outcomes.  

In his spare time, you can find Glenn out riding his bicycle or enjoying a meal with family and friends.  

Rob Goodings
Director, Learning & Administration

Through virtual training sessions, Rob works with a hands-on approach to help assist and educate the Coldwell Banker Canada network on the various tools and resources available. Rob engages with all levels of the network, including individual sales reps, teams, administrators, managers, and broker/owners. He also oversees the administration team. This team handles Coldwell Banker Canada’s Award & Recognition program, Ultimate Service, as well as day to day administration paperwork such as office relocations, renewals, franchise sales, and mergers and acquisitions.   

 After graduating college, and majoring in marketing, Rob moved to Japan where he worked as an English teacher and begun his career path of education. Upon returning to Canada, Rob joined Coldwell Banker Canada in 2005 as the Marketing Coordinator. Over the last 17 years, Rob has had extensive experience working with our network across different departments, learning the various aspects of the company, as well as developing strong relationships with the various members of the Coldwell Banker Canada network.  

Rob resides in Burlington Ontario with his wife Thea, and as of 2017 is also a dad. His son, Luke, keeps him busy most days after work! 

Ashley McClure
Senior Director, Marketing & Communications

Ashley provides the creative direction and project management for the Marketing and Communications team. Her goals are to grow brand recognition and agents nationally, as well as to develop Coldwell Banker Canada’s identity to reflect the energy and the distinctiveness of our roots, agents, and brokers across Canada. She has an extensive background in graphic design and marketing within the commercial real estate sector, home building and architecture industries, as well as additional advertising and marketing firms which give her the perspective and knowledge to help guide the company in a forward direction. Prior to marketing, Ashley spent over 10 years in both B2B and B2C sales giving her a strong understanding of the consumer purchasing process. Her skillset combined with her applicable background make her an integral part of the team and we are delighted to have her on board. 

Ashley enjoys the acreage life with her husband and pets and she loves staying active by running races, hiking, and travelling. She’s also an avid reader, an occasional painter, and a seasonal knitter.

Kerry Mohammed
Manager, Franchise Support

Kerry is our Manager, Franchise Support. His role currently involves mapping, deployment and implementation of all aspects of CB Ignite, as well as any new tech stack tools to our Coldwell Banker network.  

His overall goal is to elevate the brand with the evolution of our current technology by introducing modern methodology, processes and applications coupled with a level of service that is second to none. 

Coming from a career with over 13 years in the telecom industry, which involved the deployment of various processes and applications with focus on customer service and support improvement, Kerry plans to evolve with Coldwell Banker Canada and create a new standard of service which will be the envy of the real estate industry. 

He enjoys cars, music, cooking, gardening in the summer, outdoor fires in the fall, along with road trips with his dog to quaint towns and food destinations. 

Navi Sandhu
Senior Accountant

 

As our Senior Accountant, Navi is responsible for coordinating the monthly closing process, account reconciliations, providing periodic revenue reports and many other various accounting reports and analysis as requested. She is also the point of contact for our affiliates, handling all accounting enquiries and managing the accounts.  

Navi has been with the Coldwell Banker brand for almost 13 years and has over 15 years of accounting and auditing experience. Navi is a hands-on, experienced professional with a progressive operational background. She has the ability to exercise sound judgement and make reasonable decisions while possessing strong analytical organizational, highly effective interpersonal and people skills. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team! 

In her spare time, Nave enjoys hiking, travelling, cooking, reading and spending time with her family. 

Rodolfo Gomes
Digital Marketing & Graphic Design
Specialist

Rodolfo Gomes is our Digital Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist. With over 7 years of experience in the field, Rodolfo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, he successfully ran his own marketing consultancy firm, where he honed his skills in crafting innovative strategies and delivering impactful results for his clients. Rodolfo is passionate about staying ahead of the curve and remains constantly updated with the latest marketing trends and technologies. He thrives on the challenge of coming up with creative solutions to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients and to ensure Coldwell Banker Canada remains at the forefront of digital marketing in the real estate industry. His blend of experience, creativity, and passion makes him a great asset to our team. 
 
In his spare time, he loves taking walks in the parks, spending time with his family and friends, and boxing, which is one of his biggest passions.
