Brenda Blackstock knows firsthand what draws people to the Shuswap, because it drew her here, too.

In 1992, Brenda and her family made the move that would define the next chapter of their lives, settling in beautiful Blind Bay that October. Like so many who discover this corner of British Columbia, they came seeking something increasingly hard to find: a slower pace, a stunning lake, and a community built around living well.  To put down roots here, they purchased a local business, which they proudly operated until 2008, giving Brenda a deep ground-level understanding of the Salmon Arm community and the people who call it home.

That connection to the community is something Brenda carried into her real estate practice every day.  When she works with buyers, she recognizes something familiar in them-the same pull toward the lake, the recreation, the lifestyle that brought her own family here more than three decades ago.  She doesn't just sell homes; she helps people find the life they're looking for.

What keeps Brenda rooted in Salmon Arm is simple: this place still has its soul.  On a Saturday morning, you can grab a coffee, wander downtown, browse the locally owned shops, and lose a few happy hours at the farmer's market.  That unhurried, authentic small-town atmosphere is increasingly rare, and Brenda knows it, cherishes it, and loves sharing it with the people she works with.
