I’m Krista Fitzsimmons, a REALTOR® and Sales Representative with Coldwell Banker Electric Realty, proudly helping buyers and sellers throughout Peterborough, the Kawarthas, Lakefield, Norwood, Havelock, and surrounding communities. Born and raised in Peterborough, I have a genuine connection to this area and a strong understanding of the communities, neighbourhoods, and lifestyle that make this such a special place to call home.
After 12 years in real estate, I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve accomplished, including receiving annual real estate awards for 12 consecutive years and achieving the Lifetime Award of Excellence. While those accomplishments mean a great deal to me, the relationships I’ve built with my clients over the years mean even more. I’m a people person at heart, and I genuinely care about the people I work with. I have a giant heart for my clients and tend to become personally invested in their journeys because, to me, real estate has never been just about completing a transaction.
I understand that buying or selling a home can be exciting, emotional, stressful, and sometimes all of those things at once. Whether I’m helping someone purchase their first home, sell a family home filled with memories, find an investment property, downsize into a new chapter, or simply figure out what their next move might look like, I’m there for the whole journey. My clients can expect straightforward advice, honesty, integrity, and genuine personal care every step of the way. I work hard to protect their interests, understand what truly matters to them, and help them make decisions they can feel confident about without ever feeling pressured or rushed. My goal is simple: I want to be your REALTOR® for life, not just for one transaction.
As an SRES® Specialist, I also have specialized knowledge and experience supporting seniors and their families through downsizing and major life transitions. I know that selling a longtime family home is about much more than putting a property on the market. There can be decades of memories and emotions attached to that decision, and I believe those moments deserve patience, compassion, understanding, and a REALTOR® who will truly listen.
Being born and raised in Peterborough gives me local knowledge that goes beyond market statistics. This is my home, and after 12 years of helping people buy and sell real estate here, I understand both the market and the lifestyle that comes with living in Peterborough and the surrounding Kawarthas. I love being able to share that experience and local perspective with my clients, whether they’ve lived here their entire lives or are discovering the area for the first time.
Outside of real estate, I’m just a regular person who loves home, family, and community, along with my big German Shepherd. I enjoy reading, biking, cooking, and spending time with my family. Giving back to my community is also very important to me, whether that means helping feed those in need at Christmas and Thanksgiving, attending and supporting local charities, or donating to local shelters.
I truly believe a home is more than four walls. It’s where your life happens, where memories are made, and where you should feel comfortable being yourself. That belief is at the heart of how I approach real estate and how I care for every client I have the privilege of working with.
