118 Barnes Road St. John'S, NL A1C 3X6

118 Barnes Road, Georgestown, St. John’s Georgestown character, the real kind. This semi detached home was built in 1905 and still has the details people spend big money trying to copy: deep crown mouldings, a carved staircase with original newel posts, three fireplace mantels, and hardwood on the main floor and through the hallways. The kitchen is roomy and bright, with plenty of cabinets and space for a table. Upstairs you get four bedrooms, including a large primary and a room that works well as a home office. The big items are covered. The home was inspected before listing, it has 125 amp electrical service, and the oil tank is good until 2045 and furnace is approximately 7 years old. The attached garage is hard to find this close to downtown, with room for a car, tools or gear. The exterior needs paint and a small clapboard repair at one end. If you want a house with real bones and a project you can tackle on your own schedule, this is it. Close to downtown, schools, shopping, parks and recreation. Fireplaces are sold as is. (id:41440)
